Jacob Douglas is a 18 year old from Christchurch, New Zealand with a goal to spend his life as a professional race car driver. Jacob started racing at age 8, by age 15 he was a 4 times New Zealand Karting Champion. From there, he stepped up to New Zealand Formula Ford where he finished third and took out the South Island Rookie of the Year Championship.

Jacob moved to Indianapolis, USA in October 2021 where he lives alongside his team Pabst Racing. In the past 4 years, Jacob has raced in the USA, United Kingdom, Germany, Italy, Thailand, and Australia. He was also selected by the FIA-CIK to attend their World Academy in 2019.

Jacob's Story

Road To Indy – The Road to Indy is a race car driver development program, providing a scholarship-funded path to reach the INDYCAR Series and Indianapolis 500. Sanctioned by INDYCAR the Road to Indy ladder series has attracted drivers from 28 different countries since 2010 and is a 4-step ladder from USF Juniors, USF 2000, USF Pro 2000, Indy Lights, and then INDYCAR.
