Jacob Douglas has gone on to take a further victory and a second place at Homestead to win the 2023 YACademy Winter Series USF junior champion crown.
Douglas had started the weekend well by topping qualifying and winning Race 1 comfortably on Saturday before racing twice again on Sunday

Race 2 of the weekend featured a reverse top six grid from the prior run, meaning the Kiwi was forced to make multiple passes to get to the front.
This was also the case for closest rival Max Taylor who started alongside, the American making his moves quickly to get to the front and not look back, cruising to victory by 6 seconds.
Second place ended Douglas’s winning streak at four but made him almost uncatchable at the top of the Winter Series standings.
The Cantabrian was quick to bounce back in Race 3 and pull away from the field, taking the flag over Taylor by 3 seconds.
Victory wrapped up a convincing pre-season hit-out for Douglas as he prepares for his 2023 USF2000 campaign in which he has his hopes set high.

A number of Douglas’s key rivals for the season were present at both events, the Kiwi setting the benchmark and showing he means business.
He now gets a well deserved weekend of rest before hitting Sebring for official pre-season testing on February 28.
The USF2000 Championship begins the week following that on the Streets of St. Petersburg in support of IndyCar.
